Welcome to my profile web site! I am a student at Michigan State University in the third semester of my journalism masters program. I'm resurrecting this site off a profile assignment from my Online Publishing clas last fall. It is a chance to gather many of my projects into one spot for easy access. At a time when everyone and their mother has a Facebook and/or MySpace page, this is my opportunity to present something...different. | |
In addition to my coursework, I also have multiple ongoing journalism projects. I am the editor of the MusicEdge section at SpartanEdge.com, where I usually write concert and album reviews with video and photos. I write for other professional and student publications when I get the chance, but lately most of my writing is private and experimental. I'm branching out of the confines of journalism into essays, short stories and poetry. |

| I am and always will be a music fanatic. In fact, my passion for writing was borne partially through my love of music. I start to feel uneasy if I don't make it to at least one concert a month. I collect vinyl records, both new and used, because certain music just sounds better that way. My 80 GB MP3 player is almost filled to capacity. But my most recent discovery is satellite radio. It's everything I hoped it could be, and more! |

| I currently live in beautiful East Lansing, Mich. with my dog Wolfie. He is a lab/Australian Sheperd (maybe something else?) mix that I adopted at Chicago Animal Contol when I was living there from 10/05–12/06. We had a rough start, since he used to chew things like trash bags and books if I left him alone, but now we're like peas and carrots. We try to go to Soldan Dog Park in Lansing at least twice a month. It's a paradise of dogs and owners located near Jolly Rd. and US-127. | ||

The design and development of this web site has been an enormous learning experience. Please chck out the links and all the various pages.
